you know what i remember?

when XL meant, XL. nowadays you have shirts that say they are xl. but once you put them on they fit like a medium. american apparel is one of those brands that likes you fuck you. i cant order shit online anymore because if it doesnt come in xxl, it probably wont fit me.

the other thing i remember, when vintage clothing stores, sold their shit for cheap. nowadays where the sizes are so fucked, the only place to get a fitting xl shirt, is at a vintage store. problem is that since vintage is so 'in' these days. shirts have gone up about $70 in price. so instead of finding a shirt that fits for $10, im finding a shirt that fits, thats soul'd out because some guy thinks vintage is in and cant decide for himself what he should wear.

i also wrote a new script. two new scripts actually. two shorts. one was for the competition i am in. it was about aliens, because i had to do sci-fi. "snuffing out alien predators".

because you wont get it, it spells out S.O.A.P.. it'll play a part in the reading.
the other one just has some fine tuning to do before i upload it.

yesterday was my first day of work, at the glasses factory.
im a little bitter that its not film, because thats what i came out here to do. and its really just the final nail in the coffin i think. i will probably never get into it.

anyways, work. i was early to hand in some papers, and got the tour. the 'lab' where i'll be working is very small. the rest of the work area is designated for warehousing. mostly for contacts. so i was told that i would need to learn the jobs of the entire place (incase i need to fill in for someone or whatever) so they had me packing orders. i packed orders for japan until about 2. then i packed orders for canada until 5, and i had one for fort mcmurray. neat. then at 530 i packed orders for usa. it was alright i suppose. my feet hurt by the end of the day, and so did my back because i was standing all day. but today im supposed to get a 'project' to work on, so that should be fine.

im about to go to work, jesse starts work today too, so i wish her luck. wish me luck too.

our washer broke this afternoon. we tried to do some laundry because we were supposed to go to a dinner at julias tonight, and i start work tomorrow. so i need clothes. and our washer was filled up with water, and it didnt spin. so its broke. i went to the landlord and told her about it. and she said she'll dispatch someone tomorrow. lovely. jesse starts work tuesday so she needs clothes too. so our tub is full with clothes. and we can only put 2-3 items in the dryer at once because they're so wet. after that, we have to manage to get showers and get ready and make it to julias for 6. its not looking so good.

christ sakes. when anything could go wrong, it will. we were really looking forward to going for fuck shit fuck.

vancouver, is a great city. i love everything about it. the people especially. when i first moved here and rode a bus, people said thank you to the bus driver. unheard of in fort mcmurray.

jesse and i, eager to celebrate our recent job success, we wanted to go out and eat. so we walked all over some near by streets that have the most restaurants. we chose 'hamilton grill'. we walked in and the woman greeted us and said "hi. how are you" good... for two. "we're all full".. but two people just walked in right in front of us. and they were standing there. we left immediately, and it never hit me until later that, hey... we were victims of a fucking jerk off. how rude was that woman. i could NOT believe it.

unimpressed we walked around until we found 'the players chophouse'. we checked out the menu, and were greeted without rudeness. but our service sucked. we had awesome appetizers which turned out to be free. a total of $23.. which i guess makes up for the bullshit that happened earlier.

following such a shit night, today actually brought some good news.

i got a call at about 230pm saying that coastal contacts is giving me a job! hooray.
28 minutes later, jesse got a call from the breast cancer society and offered her a job!

thats just excellent.

my schedule sucks though. i'll work monday to friday, 10am to 630pm STARTING while i train. then after that i'll work 2pm to 1030pm. which sucks... but whatever, its only temporary i hope.

if anyone needs glasses or wears them or whatever, KEEP COMING TO THIS WEBSITE FOR MORE INFO, i get money if i refer you to buy glasses.

so with this cleanse im doing it limits what im allowed to eat. but one thing i can eat is popcorn and nuts. so i had popcorn for lunch and i decided i wanted cashews for a snack while jesse and i watched the sound of music.
lastnight when i had one it made my throat swell up and turned it all red.

after i had some today i started to itch, ALL OVER. then i noticed these little white bumps, ALL OVER... im fucking allergic to cashews?! what the hell. ive had cashews before and i LOVE cashews. its one of the nuts i do enjoy. and now i cant eat it. jesus christ.

jesse and i started a 12 day herbal d-tox cleanse. today is day two.
yesterday for breakfast i had left over ground beef, jess had eggs. then for lunch, popcorn, then for supper, chicken and potatoes. but my stomach hurt alot and it made me question the cleanse. it could have been one of a few things though. the cashews i had eaten a little before, or the tap water i drank (filtered by brita, but not good enough). then i felt better. today for breakfast i had an apple, and we're having fish for supper. should be interesting.

i had a dream, i worked at a hotel. and my specialty was getting celebrities list of things they want for when they're there. lastnight my dream was of brian burke. he came into our hotel. and jesse and julia were working the front desk. this was brian burkes list of demands:

-potato skins from moxies.
-cheeseburger from mcdonalds.
-pretzels, and crunchy cheezies.
-filet mignon from earls.
-m&ms, peanut.

the best part about it was that, i had the ability to glide on my wooly socks. so i slid up and down the street. the only thing was, it was in a city ive never seen before. for some reason i picture chicago to look like this. anyways. i wound up not getting it in the time limit and then i got --- *insert wake up here*

when i write, i do things a little differently. sometimes i cant even start to write my name on the title page, until i can picture it. i imdb actors until i find exactly what each character should look like. if i cant find it, i usually dont write it. sometimes i take it a step further, i'll make playlists in itunes with a soundtrack or songs i want to be in there. sometimes i make movie posters. concepts mind you. but still. here are some of the posters i came across that ive made.

from left to right:
slow motion animal attacks: this was a short i had an idea written out, it was supposed to star my cousin mathew and be about a very bad drug trip, but then i realized i know nothing on the subject.
sick: currently i am writing this one. the poster pretty much tells you whats going to happen. ive even gone as far as making the credits on there. you cant read it but i credit radiohead for the music.
heartbreak in the city of love: this image was made from like 12 or 13 different images all put together. im proud of it. i have some written but i took time off of it to write sick.
fox roost: was supposed to be my first feature written. i had it all mapped out. i just. stopped once i made this poster because i didnt like it.
boxed love: this is a three part series short co written by lindsey tyree. i wrote part three.
i have the largest biceps in the world: written about my friend laine. the funny thing about it is, while i was making it, i forgot the title of it. some of it says 'biggest biceps' while the other says 'largest biceps' notice 'i have the world' is singled out.
jungle green: this is a script i wrote for jesse. its a short. and i have the template for a feature to be written too. i like this one.

across the street from our apartment is a place called 'yaletown shops'. we went in there to check it out and there was a gelato place. so we went in there. i wanted french vanilla and lemon gelato. jess being lactose intolerant so she didnt want any. so the woman who was helping me as chinese or... asian. so i was like yeah i want french vanilla and lemon. so she got it for me no problem, but then jesse wanted to try the panini that they have. so i said 'can we have the vanilla and blueberry panini'. so she gets a container ready to scoop up vanilla and blueberry, and i said no no. the panini. so she was like 'which sorry' so i said vanilla and blueberry... so then she was like 'which?' ...
